	The UKAS approved laboratory and testing facility at Clydesdale Forge (Hartlepool) offers a fast efficient testing service to industry but particularly the aerospace, automotive, marine, offshore, nuclear and agricultural sectors. Routine physical testing includes tensile strength, proof stress, elongation, hardness, impacts etc and is carried out on a wide range of materials. Chemical compositions are determined by optical emission spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy and classical "wet" chemical techniques. Other services include; corrosion testing, etching, macro photography and small scale heat treatment facilities.
