In
1988 Caparo went west, to expand its tube making operations in the world's
largest and most technically advanced market - the USA. Bull Moose operates
from seven strategically placed regional plants - six in the USA (Chicago,
Elkhart, Gerald, Masury, Trenton and Casa Grande) and one in Canada (Burlington).
Since the initial purchase of these companies a substantial investment
has been made in operational and technical improvements to the plants.
The combination of this investment, together with their widened regional
presence and product range has enabled the business to more than double
its sales. Today Bull Moose Tube offers the largest range of welded steel
tubing in North America and with a current production level exceeding
420,000 tpa the company is taking a major share of the North American
market. Its product range from 0.500 in diameter precision tube to 12
in x 12 in structural hollow section is sold to over 3000 customers.
Typical applications for Bull Moose Tube include construction, transportation,
agricultural, fire protection, garden furniture, sports equipment plus
many other engineering and household products.
The Bull Moose range of heavy products, which complements the product
range manufactured by the UK based companies, is also available in Europe
either by direct enquiry to the Bull Moose Tube company's central sales
office in St Louis, USA or Caparo Tube, Tredegar, UK.
